USA and Canada: American road trip meets Niagara Falls

You board the plane with a big grin on your face. The day has finally come: you're off to Canada! Big city life awaits, this time in Toronto! Packed full of futuristic skyscrapers and with historic buildings and multicultural vibes in between, Toronto is a bit like the New York of Canada. You notice that at the lively Yonge-Dundas Square, which is deceptively similar to Times Square. For a thrill, why not step into the glass lift of the CN Tower, soar up to a height of over 1,100 feet and marvel at the view from the top! Then take a break from the hustle and bustle and catch the ferry to Centre Island (optional, payable on site). Recharge your sightseeing batteries on a stroll through the green parks and enjoy the unobstructed view of the skyline before heading back into the urban jungle. And when the sun slowly sets between the skyscrapers, it's finally time for dinner and drinks! There are plenty of nice restaurants and trendy bars on King Street West, which really comes alive at night. So, let the good times roll! 

'Good morning, Toronto!' Between futuristic skyscrapers and historic buildings, you immediately pick up on the city's multicultural vibe. The sun's first rays are reflected in the shiny buildings, and you just know that today's gonna be next-level! First stop: breakfast with city views. Why not try out Kupfert & Kim, where you can treat yourself to a classic: waffles with maple syrup (your choice; you're paying)! Then it's time to explore the city before your next meal at the legendary St. Lawrence Market. This foodie paradise has everything from fresh bagels to poutine and peameal bacon sandwiches. Afterwards, check out the Gooderham Building, aka Toronto's version of the Flatiron – which perfectly contrasts the skyscrapers – before heading to Nathan Phillips Square. In winter, it's the top spot to grab a pair of skates and glide across the ice under twinkling lights! Finish off with a chilled stroll along the Harbourfront to catch the sunset. Marvel at the dazzling pastel-coloured sky and, finally, walk across the undulating Simcoe WaveDeck – a real must-see! 

Niagara Falls is on the agenda – let's gooo! It's hard to believe that you're actually making your way to one of nature's greatest wonders. Just the thought of finally seeing the waterfalls IRL and crossing them off your bucket list is enough to get you raring to go! So you join your fellow adventurers and trusty guide and head off. On the way, there's time for pics at the Floral Clock and the Niagara Whirlpool. Of course, you can't miss a good Insta story! Then at Maple Leaf Place, you're served a sweet Canadian treat during a maple syrup tasting sesh – yum! Afterwards, the time finally arrives to see the thundering masses of water with your own eyes. How priceless! You quickly wave to the USA, whose border runs through the semicircular Horseshoe Falls, before heading back to Toronto. What a day!

Vancouver's summoning you, and you're off to the West Coast! You grab your window seat on the plane and gaze down as forests, lakes and mountains pass by far below. Before you know it, you're almost there! You take one last look out of the window, then it's time for the landing approach. ‘Western Canada, let's go!’  Welcome to Vancouver – where everyone wants to live, including you now! After all, it's supposedly the most liveable city in the world. Time to check it out for yourself! Pro tip: The SkyTrain goes straight from the airport to the city centre (optional, payable on site). If it's still early enough once you get there, it's worth making a detour to Gastown. Between the Victorian brick facades and cobblestones, everything here feels a bit like old-school Vancouver, until you glance over at the glittering skyline again. And when you hear an odd sound, that’s just the famous steam clock whistling! It marks the perfect signal to slowly wind down for the day, because your next round of city adventures awaits tomorrow.
